Great . Glad she made the long trip ok. The tips are black walnut from out back of my place . And the Osage stave came from Chris . Blackhawk .
Sounds like you are pleased with the bow. I had some black locust staves here I was kicking around making one of those till I got your name. Sounds like that is all you use so I figured you needed some gold mixed in there.
I have a scale but never use it . I just make it to were it feels right. And I only tiller in a mirror . So if its not spot on that is why. But she looks to be bending pretty well. That is my first time seeing a full draw picture . I have only seen what was in the mirror.
Hope you like it Marc . I know I am a sore puppy from making it. Lol.
Ha, I only tiller in a mirror too! The tiller looks absolutely perfect to me, you gauged/eyeballed the weight perfectly, it feels like petting a kitten to shoot so the limbs must be returning in time, and my new target makes a great thud every time I hit the bullseye
I really appreciate you giving me this golden wood, I love black locust but it's great finally having some osage of my own to shoot! Was the inclusion of lever tips influenced at all by all my talk of mollegabets?
Yes guys, I know, and I've applied generous amounts of dirt to the wound, so it should heal up nice and ugly and give me great stories for around the village fire
we are just tough out west Pat, just tough
+1
Nice Bow. Good on both ends. Nice to see...And Marc, your cat is trying to hone in on the glory...LOL
That cat is Sassy, and she's a pain in the butt who tracks her muddy paws all over my bench, but only when I've got fine-grit sandpaper out! She's had her little paws on plenty, thank you very much
