Don't think there are any left in OK I used to co host the Spring Creek and the Chimney Rock Hollow for eight years. Your closest one may be TX or MO. One east of KC called Osage. You are gonna have to put some drive time in to get to a good one. A real good one in Louisiana in the spring. Watercreek in Yellville Arkansas late April is another good one. Bois darc near Springfield late Sept. another good one. Mike

How far are you from Muskogee?  There is a superb knapper there, by the name of "Vyrl Keeter".
If you are close enough, I will pm you his address, and number. ;)

Go to Michael Millers Flintknappers.com. He has a knap in calendar. There are only two that I am aware of. Osage knap in east of KC and Bois darc at Hulston Mills near Springfield. Watercreek is in Arkansas. Mike

Nothing listed in Missouri there on the events calender.
I guess I am going to have to hunt up the locals myself.  Wish I was better at remembering names.  I know about 6 from this area from previous dealings when I was doing shows and wire wrapping.  One of them knapped garnet points for me.  I still have rainbow slabs and a bucket of Montana from another.  I will go look in my records and see if I have an old card maybe.
The gentleman that examined the collection has never gotten back to me with the report he promised, but he said he knapped.

Heck what you ought to do is start a new knap in. You build a good one and they WILL come. Mike
