That's a dang fine bow. I love a piece of elm with stain on it. I need to cut me some more this spring. I have made some nice re-curves from Elm. Real good bow wood.

I remember you talking about making one from Cedar Elm.  Sweet looking bow.  Glad to see ya back at it.

Man, that it is a fine piece of elm.  I love the way that grain looks on the belly.  Nice rework.

thank ya Matt, mw.

Thanks Steve, means a lot!  I haven't weighed her and probably won't but I'm sure she's on the low end for mass.

Thanks a lot Bent, Soy  :)

Thank you simson and Mike, it's going to be tough to let'r go.

Thanks JonW.  Yeah me too.  I've also got some logs i need to quarter up so they'll dry faster.  Hate to say it in front of all these osage lovers, but I think elm is my favorite bow wood ::) 8) ;D

Thank you Bob, good to be back at it at least in some degree!

Appreciate it hrhodes, rps3 :)

Yes, sir... nice bow. But, if it was mine, I'd take a few scrapes outta the bottom limb, right where the dark brick is in the back ground. Top limb looks sweet.

You might want to check the unbraced pic again Adb.  It has reflexed bit there.  I do believe he nailed it.  Nice job Sir!  I do love the grain on elm!  Josh

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?
