I was asked to make a trilam elb for my special someones dad.. I was wondering what thicknesses of lams I would need for a bow 72 " with a hickory back, wenge core, and maple belly. I need to get the bow around 50 pounds at 28

3/16ths hickory. 1/8th wenge and make up the thickness to 1 inch with your belly. This will give you plenty of weight to work with.

Do you have anything other than maple for the belly?

My thoughts too, Adam.  Ipe, osage, yew and others would work for the belly.
