Thanks for the good words folks....yep after the first two I was getting abit discouraged I will admit

But stuck with it and eventually things went better. I just grabbed my kids paints and went crazy....it definately looks "hand done" close up

Shot it some more today...seems pretty quick for what it is. It's now developed about an inch and a half of set which I guess I can accept given there was no heat treating done to the belly or reflex etc. I didn't want to try too many things for my first attempt.
I really wanted to try the Native style shooting techniques such as Ishi's etc. but none of my Longbows lended themselves to this....all are right handed shelf bows.
