Just wrapped up another. The handle and tips are laminated mesquite and hickory, both heartwood and sapwood. The bow is osage that my buddy Clint gave me. Its a stave from his Monster osage tree he posted a few years back that yielded 100 plus staves. Fantastic wood Clint! Finished with 6 or 7 coats of Tung oil, I lost track...
. The string is an 8 strand D97. Its 66" ntn and 48# @ 28". The lower limb is 1" shorter and the shelf is cut just off center and 2" above the center of my 4" handle. Each fade is 3" long. Its an absolute joy to shoot. Ive shot as many arrows through this bow as any in a good while. It hasn't lost any reflex and that profile you see against my garage wall is right after unbracing, it never changes. Its my best effort yet as far as lack of set. It took virtually none.
