primitive nikes

My grandson turns 2 next week so I whipped up some Mocs for him. I'm sure he'll have full of sand spurs in no time.

Very cool.  My son is one in February,  he has some brain tanned that have been passed down for quite some time now.  He loves em.  Or maybe I do  ::)

Have you ever thought about doing a 'turn shoe' style? Sew them inside out, and then turn them back, and your stitched seams disappear. The seam also lasts longer because it's protected from wear.

Bob,ask anyone from Florida what a sand spur is and you'll get horror stories. There are a grass down here that have  seeds that are spurred and will stick in everything.Get them in your feet and feels like you stepped on a pin cushion :o. Pull them out and now they are stuck to your fingers( the secret is to lick your fingers first) they can flatten your bike tires and make a flip flop look like a porcupine >:(.  When we were younger we would pull out a stem full a whack someone in the back and watch the unlucky sole try to turn inside-out trying to pull them out. And they are a blast when they get in your dogs feet and hair.
And thanks for the comments and yes I did turn them inside out to sew.
