Great looking bow.  Most of mine are similar to this one. I too like simple and love hickory.

I see you left the heel of the grip deeper to make for a angled grip allowing for more of high wrist grip.  How do you like that? I been thinking of doing something similar and trying it out.

I have tried the low wrist grip on several bows and I just seem to shoot better with a slightly higher wrist. I dont like high wrist like commercial recurves but a slight tilt forward with a slight index feels good to me.

I also shoot better with higher wrist and it is less strain with high weight bows too.
It's better to ask and look like a fool than not to ask and remain one...
