About 5 1/2" -6" is where mine usually wind up. I use a fistmele to start, then fine tune it until the arrows fly right.

I think the 6" should be ok. Your braced profile looks great can we get a full draw pic. Danny

That should be just fine. I usually brace my bows lower, around 5", but it's up to you.

How do you brace your bow so low without the feathers touching the arrow rest. Mines at 6'' and that is bearly enough for 5'' inch feathers

I usually brace upwards of 6", but just enough to get clearance of feathers as was said.  I also use a single loop string and a timber hitch so I can adjust it to get just the right brace.  I've had enough of re-doing my second loop to make a significant length adjustment.  Maybe if I was using a jig I could hit the mark better.

I do try and keep my feathers as far to the back of the arrow as possible, my fingers aren't huge so I can usually put them about 1/2" forward of the nock and have enough room.  I made my last feathers around 4 3/4" long.

I made a non flemish string with a string Jig a friend gave me, Just to see how the bow performed I still need more range to check for Paradox. So far so good.

I assume you are measuring string to belly of bow. The best brace height is the lowest one at which you get good arrow flight. I start at fletch clearing distance and adjust from there. See Selfbow care and Tuning.
