Does anyone have any ideas of a good long lasting metal cutting blade to use on this saw for cutting out trade points from old circular saw balds?

I use a carbide toothed blade on my saw at work, But I am cutting hard bronze and it only comes in a 3 tpi arrangement. So it does not work well for thin metal unless you use an extremely slow feed rate. It also does not come in any less width than 1/2 inch. So short turns are no good.   Have you tried any of the tungsten abrasive blades.  I think you will have a hard time finding a saw blade that will cut saw blade material and hold up for long. What you might try doing is contacting Starrett or some other manufacturer and  checking with their technical dept.

I looked up this saw and it list it as a woodworking saw.
it spins way too many rpms to effectively cut metal.
fwiw I wouldn't got to the trouble to try and cut metal with it.
I would check craigslist for a Milwaukee porta band or something similar.
just my .02

I use the cut off blades on my 4" grinder, works great, just go slow to not overheat it
