He has turned and given away a truckload of bowls, butter molds, butter churns, and pots.

Here is a pic of the small lathe he rigged up for smaller stuff.



This is the big lathe.  if it was in a larger room, an extension can be added and pieces up to 8 feet long can be turned.  The meat grinder is removable.  In high gear it can grind 600 pounds an hour.



you can turn a single long piece, or a bowl on each side, or have a bowl on one side and table leg on the other.

Cool, nice stuff....I just bought a lathe and now trying to figure out what tools I need...and a face plate for bowls!!

Buy the best tools you can afford. the cheap tools are just that.  Lots of what he turned was done with old reshaped screw drivers and files he beveled down and occassionally hammered to reshape.
