Thanks Pat, Thank you B. Donald. Bryce, you can't rush these things. A finish that is dry, is not the same as a finish that is seasoned
The bow is incredible! But I especially like the alignment picture. It looks like you just kept adding clamps and devises until it was aimed in the right direction. Did you have a plan when you started?
Don
Is it that obvious? I even got a short yew paddle bow stave involved (see under the bench)
. For anyone considering buying a bar clamp from harbor freight that is on sale for 1.99...dont do it. I cant believe I fell for that.
Elijah, thank you. I think Bryce is getting at a fact that Oregon has a strong legacy of bowyers from Chet Stevenson, B.J. Thompson, Gilman Keasey to modern day John Strunk that have set the bar really high for us young whipper-snappers.
Thank you for the very nice words Matt!
Thank you Chamookman.
Thanks Mike, yeah, get after those brush nocks!
Thanks Danny
Thanks Josh
Thanks adb, just seemed that using yew was the right thing to do.
Thanks Ryan
Thanks Dwardo.
Thanks Tom
Thanks Dean. I was really excited to share this one with everybody.
Thanks ryoon
I did "really get into those tips. I took lots of photos of those brush nocks to try and show the shape. " I probably reduced them down in size in 3 or 4 different sessions with a tapered round file while sitting in my stavemaster. Everytime I would come back to the bow to work on it, I would look at those brush nocks and think, still too much bulk, and so I would reduce them a little more.
