Great looking bow!  I'm new to the primitive archery seen but I'm learning every day from people like you.  When gluing the tips on, is that done after all straightening work?

Nice bow!!!  Love the contrast between the grip and the skins. If I may ask, what adhesive did you use for the antler tips?, as I am debating doing the same with elk antler on the hickory bow I am currently workingon. I have heard of issues with them not staying glued on

It's not so much the adhesive more the method of preparing the tips and overlays - they must be perfect mating surfaces.

Oh and great bow!

I corrected twist, aligned the tips, floor tillered, then put the tips on before sinew and tillering. Then I taped the tips and trimmed the skins with a razor. Ended up being perfectly smooth, no transition.

That is a very pretty bow.  The leather handle came out real nice and the color compliments the skins perfectly.  Beautiful work.

Thanks for the info, I will try to work out the twist first then work on getting the stave a bit straighter before putting too much work into it.  If I get a chance I'll post a pic and and for advice.

Thanks everyone. Thought the snakiness around the knot would give me hell. I think the sinew backing helped a lot.
