This is actually a bow I started a few years ago. Got it to a point and was just never happy with it. It was taking set in all the wrong places and just had underwhelming cast. Threw it in the corner and moved on. Decided here a few weeks ago to pull it out and finish it up. Took a little off here and there and tempered the dog out of it. Very happy with it now. This is locally grown Osage which is somewhat rare in the Texas Hill Country. Very thick rings on it but not very dense wood. It's 67 inches TTT. At first I had the shape pretty elliptical because of the length. Reworking it I got it bending more out of the fades which seems to have made the difference along with tempering it. 1.5" of set back that drops to about 1/2 inch set back when first unstrung. 1 1/2 inches wide at the fades carried out to mid limb and then tapers to 1/2 inch tips. 50ish at 27 inches. Sinew wraps dyed with Rit dye. Very smooth sweet shooter!
The lace in the handle looks pink in the pic. It's red. I swear it.
