Lost my friend today
« on: December 09, 2013, 10:34:33 pm »
We had a Australian Shepard at the farm when we loaded 4 cows & 2 bulls on the stock trailer today the 2 bulls were trying to get at each other she heard them banging around in the trailer & she ran under the trailer to go to the other side just as they started to pull away from the barn the trailer tires got her. Won't be the same going to the barn in the mornings & she's not there to meet me anymore going to miss that old girl. :'(

Sorry Rob.  A dog is the most honest friend a man can ever have.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Oh, that's rough.  Sorry to hear it.

Someone close to me euligized his dog when he said, "I lost more than a friend, I lost a dog."

Sorry to here your loss, it always seems a little extra hard when it's a simple accident like that and is it just me or is it always the good ones that go that way.

Had to put down my 13 year old Blue Heeler earlier this year after she had a stroke.  Tuff deal.  I miss her.  Feel for you for sure.

Thanks guys the cattle know she's gone also tried to get a bull out of the pen to go to the freestalls with the cows to replace the 2 I sold yesterday & he had to keep testing me the bulls know I don't go in there by myself she would have brought him out on a dead run.

That's terrible and my heart goes out to you.  I understand how awful that is.

Hope this comes off appropriately, but she died "with her boots on" doing what she must have loved to do.  That's something at least.

Dog loss grief is very tough.  So often I prefer them over most people.

My condolences.
