Primitive darts
« on: December 07, 2013, 01:57:59 am »
Here is something I just remembered from back when I was a kid. My Granny used to raise chickens and there were always corn husks and chicken feathers layin round. I would take 2 or 3 feathers, stick them in one end of the corn cob and stick a sharpened stick in the other. With some tweaking of feather size and placement, those corn cob darts could be thrown a decent distance.

I would imagine that with some luck, you could even take a rabbit or squirrel at a close distance. Either way, good fun to be had with what would otherwise be trash. You could also play a primitive lawn darts game, or tole hula hoops and thrown them threw them. :)
