Makes good pipestems too!  ;)

My main pipe I use when trapping and at reenactments had an old broken arrow shaft turned into a stem.

They make great arrows and stay straight.  I straightened them as they dried so not sure if heat straightening after they are dry would affect how straight they stay.

glad i came across this.  friend of mine gave me three to try, and though i haven't fletched them up yet they seem like primo shafts.  i had no idea what the stuff looked like, and this prompted me to figure it out.  turns out i got this stuff growing all over, and i've looked at it and wondered often. now i know.  so i went out this afternoon and cut about 3 dozen shoots and a few that may become atl atl darts.
