Ahhh…..I feel a little vindication. I’ve had some struggles this year with bow making. I think it’s been a combination of trying to push the limits, going to fast, and getting a bit of bad wood. After all of that – I was able to pull one out! And it was all worth it.

I posted a little while back about thinking I had some bad hickory….I know now that was it for sure. This is the OTHER piece I got that same day. I’m saving the rest of that board for backing strips.
I don’t have a name for it yet…and I originally was thinking of doing a fair bit of artwork on it but…it just didn’t feel right. I like this one as is. It has it’s own personality and I like it. I feel like my confidence has been restored.
