I'm from Weatherford, Oklahoma. anyone out this way knows a a good local knappable rock let me know. here it's mostly sandstone and soft gyprock. Granite and limestone about an hour south.

God's Country, Potter county Pennsylvania, Shinglehouse to be exact. I live about 45 min from Denton Hill. and just about 30 min from everything else of intrest :D

Well thankyou been into this primitive bow stuff for about a year now, went to mojam, last july, very active in fly fishing do several shows a year fish from a kayak have 5 kayaks and one divorce boat [2 man kayak]

  I have a double and a single. Just got into Flyfishing last year. Freshwater and saltwater.

Hey thats great, you will enjoy fishing with the long rod,I do alot of flytying will start doing shows  or conclaves in march at the SowBug roundup in Mt Home Ark. I do alot of smallmouth fishing enjoy the kayak and long rod. A man can get lost in time and in his thoughts on a river waveing a nine foot rod. Dont know if this is the right place to do this included some pictures of my work and a model of a kayak that I built of one that I built 11 footer this is my show display hope you enjoy the pictures

Hey newbyboyer, I almost killed myself in Mesquite once. Not on purpose ;D, turned a crane over. I bailed and woke up in the ambulance. Sorry - that's what come's to mind when I think of  Mesquite. Hey welcome aboard!! Your not that far from me, maybe we'll get some get together going in this area soon...

yes yes flyfishing rocks.  I only do freshwater. No saltwater by me. I fish for trout, bluegill, bass, and i have caught catfish and carp on accident.

I live in Godfrey Il.  I guess you could consider it SW, IL

Kayakfisher, cool bugs. I do a lot of fly tying and flyfishing for trout, and occasionally for smallmouth and bream.

Hillbilly I asume those are native trout up there? Smoky Mountains that Gods country right there, been up there several times made the hike on the dome.All are trout around here are hatchery raised three trout parks put and take

Yep, we have a lot of wild trout here, including the little native Southern Appalachian Brookies, as well as hatchery supported streams. A few of the lakes here have some good sized lake-run rainbows and browns, too.

The Davidson River that comes out of the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard is supposedly one of the 10 best trout streams in the country.  Pat
