Yes, I just met him. I went over to his house and we shot together a couple of days ago. Matter of fact, I shot his "Hard to Get" bow that is in the Aug. bow of the month contest, and it shoots great, so I am going to buy it from him. It is also alot more beautiful in person than on the screen of a computer, that's for sure.

My wife is making Chris's bow live up to its' name, "Hard to Get". She is telling me that it's too close to Christmas to be buying anything for myself, so I guess she's gonna make me suffer for a couple of months before I get her. Anyway, Chris is an awesome bowyer and person, very willing  to teach me whatever I want to know about primitive archery. He is fine representitve of the art. I've really enjoyed visiting with Chris and with this website. Seems to be a very good, family oriented group of people. If the rest of the primitive archers make me feel as welcome as Chris, then I know this is going to be a very enjoyable experience for me and my kids.

Welcome to the Club  ;) Maybe I'll get a chance to meet you in a couple of weeks.I'll be at Cade's farm hunting the 22 of Sept.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

My name is Keith Anderson.  I am in Tumwater, Washington.  The natives here made some cedar bows.  I've been told it is not great to make bows from, so I made my first from osage, and have floor tillered a vine maple which is a local wood.  Maybe a sinew backed cedar bow if I get my deer this year?

This is a cool thread.  Is there an electronic version of the old pins in a map?  It would be great to see where all the posters live and are concentrated at...
