Coyote hide
« on: December 12, 2013, 07:19:13 pm »
I recently acquired a salted coyote hide and due to my limits experience tanning (1 squirrel ) I want to hear what you guys would do. I plan on egg tanning and making a quiver from it.

Me and you are in the same boat Newindian. I recently traded for a dried coyote hide and need to tan it. I'm wanting to do a quiver with mine also. Never heard of egg tanning tho. I was considering using the tannin from acorns to do mine.

I hope it turns out good for you. Make sure and post pics for us.
Makin fine firewood, one bow at a time!
