The last 2 weeks I seen 31 bucks called most of them up.
Well I guess me talking about them every night fired him up.
Three evenings he went after school. Saw 14 deer 3 bucks grunted 2 forkies up missed both.
So MONDAY morning we went to a old rut site I had'nt hunted this year.
The first 2 were doe's one saw him moving into place. 10,12 yards.
Next he grunted useing my young buck grunt,useing a tenting grunts. A 2 1/2,8 POINT inside him ears. He came in down wind but not in our scent stream. But he knew something was'nt right stoped 30 yards. Moved away quietly.
It was 10;30 we were geting ready to leave. The was playing with my fawn muew. Blowing it 5 or 6 times. A little doe 50,60 pounds came looking for the other fawn. His first shot (15 yards)was over her back. I already had a second arrow ready. This one double lunged her, went to the feathers,she went 30 yards.
The first time he's been with me when he had a bow only the 4 th time he's bow hunted deer.

At 13 I think a bow hunter was born.
His first deer with a bow he used a HICKORY flat bow 58" 50# @26.
He's only drawing 24"s so he probley lonely in the low 40's.
Let me say here I've never try to influnce my boys in anyways. They both grew up shooting selfbows. Not because they had to because they wanted to. BRIERS had a compound for 3 years but never picks it up.
Money (alot) I could have saved.
