Inlay work

This is a guitar that I build a few years ago while working at Bolin Guitars.  I was a luthier there for about six years.  My time there was so influential in my life.  Especially when it comes to wood work.  This guitar is kinda an ode to Chet Atkins.  It has two six shooters for the twelfth fret indicators and a cow skull on the headstock.  They are all mother of pear for the white bits and and cow bone for the handles and horns.

Lol no pat.  I just built them, never played much, at least in front of anyone other than family.
I was in a band in middle school, but who wasnt ;D

I posted this because knapperhead was looking for a non primative hafting material in the arrow thread. The fill and the scrimshaw is the epoxy and tempera paint powder.  Works like a dream.

Idaho Matt...first of all bad assery ! Second can you go a little more into detail abou this alternative halting material and where it can be picked up?

Thank you,  I'm glad you enjoyed.  For the hafting you simply take a five minute epoxy and mix it with tempera paint powder.  You can get a ton of it for cheap.  We always used black but you could use any color you wanted.  Most art supply stores should carry it.

Wish I had those skills Matt. Id love to inlay the the side opposite my arrow pass, and my arrow pass for that matter. Very cool work.
