Was looking the other day for some ideas on tomahawk styles. haven't seen any posted here in a while that I can remember, but knew that some of yall had to have some great looking hawks.

. I made a hawk once but you'll have to see venisonburger about that one. The handle was a single piece of Osage worked to one ring in center, steamed, wrapped around hawk and tied. Turned out pretty cool.

Well not a tomahawk but here is a picture of a celt I made a couple years ago. Just no handle made yet. This was done with peck and grind technique.

I have a hawk that I finished this summer. The head was given to me by Steve Seabass and was made by KHalverson out of a railroad spike. The handle is 100 year old Juniper fence post embedded in a hippo ivory tooth. It has a small ivory seal tooth in the front end of the handle and has a turquoise bear clan design in the handle. Its a good thing I don't know how to post pictures on the web site, but I can send one by email if I have your email address. Mike Hawk Huston told me he liked it and that was a welcome compliment! Possible hafting configurations for corner tang knife. One looks like a classic tomahawk.

Back from VaKay! A day in the office. Time to catch up!
