Re-Handled Hatchet...Needs another new handle :(
« on: December 21, 2013, 11:24:47 am »
I had an old hatchet head laying around and decided to put a handle on it. I made the handle from a piece of firewood that my buddy found on the side of the street. I'm not sure what wood it is but it smells like maple so I will go with that. I stained it with a cherry stain and finished it with some poly. Ironically, I carved the handle using another hatchet ;)

Thanks for looking!

Iron Wood (Hop Hornbeam) makes a good tool handle. Bob
