This is a tree that grows in north eastern nova scotia.any ideas of the species would be great !thx's!

Looks like mountain ash by the leaves and berries, can you post a bark photo?

Yup, "mountain ash" indeed, although that isn't an ash. Also called "rowan". Some species in the genus
Sorbus
, probably
Sorbus aucuparia
. Decent bowood! Run a search for the various names I listed.

The berries picked after the first frost also make a superb gelly that goes very well with venison,and somewhere i have a recepie on them somehow picled in cognac that also is very good
