New Knife
« on: November 17, 2013, 10:21:06 am »
I haven't been around on PA much, but I just finished this one and though some of you might like it -

The handle is stabilized box elder burl. The blade is 1080 carbon steel. SS pin and thong tube. Hand tooled and stitched sheath.

I haven't been able to work on too many knives or bows lately... hopefully that will change with thanksgiving and Christmas break :)

That right there is about the prettiest thing you have ever done Ducky!  The design has been simplified in the extreme, nothing flash or showy, no extraneous foolishness....simply functional.  But then you used the crazy burl boxelder (Acer negundo) and finished out the steel extra fine.  Oh man, what a nice work of art and artisanship.

That knife has cut my heart out.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Alas! The man with two first names. That's a sharp knife man,
Very clean work.
