magnetic arrow rack with gravity assist auto straightening

I made this arrow rack with a long magnet that is normally used to hold tools. With only the tip of a field point touching the magnet, the arrows hang vertically.

But brass point would be tough.....agree good looking arras did you make them....need some more details.

thanks, guys. i did make the arrows. the 12 on the right are a new matched set- sitka spruce shafts, self nocks. the shafts are stained with a vinegar and steel wool stain i made myself. All are hand spined to 50-55 and have 125 grain field points or judos.

  8)Can you post some close ups of the shafts???......I've thought about the vinegar and wool stain, but haven't done any myself.  Might do some later on......................

when i stained these shafts, i stained all but the last 6 inches first. then i stained all but the last 12 inches, then all but the last 18, etc... to create a graduated fade. They're also sealed with polyurethane. All built from bought componets.

That would be handy over the workbench.  I could hang arrows while waiting for the glue, stain or paint to dry.  If the points were not already in the shaft, a binder clip would work as well.

That is so simple and effective!  Love it.

You may wanna consider getting those nocks wrapped before they get shot much.  I've had unwrapped self nocks break and it isn't pleasant for me or the bow.

Oh, and just so you know.  I am stealing the staining idea for my next set of arrows. Just sayin'.
