My first corner tang...
« on: October 31, 2013, 04:40:54 pm »
So I get back to the main base after being gone a while and have a package of stone waitin on me from Eddie. I couldn't resist the big piece of flint ridge on top so tonight I made this little knife. I lost some real estate on the spall due to that chalky cortex but still managed to keep some size. I sure like the color of this stuff and will be keeping this one for my display case at home. Never made a corner tang but that's what the rock wanted to be.

Thanks again Eddie you're the man !

Nope, that's Flint River, from Georgia. Dang! I threw that nice stuff in there? :D ;) That is a heck of a corner tang, and I want to see what you make out of that Cowboy rock I tossed in there, it's the real white, chalky stuff. That's what Rog just posted.
