Corner Tang
« on: December 16, 2013, 05:07:57 pm »
I had the pleasure of sitting with Tower last week and watching him knapp. I must say the man is a master. I handed him a tabular chuck of of some pretty tough rootbeer and he found this beauty in there. Sorry they are upside down.

I enjoyed the visit and learned quite a bit. Looking forward to next time.....

I like the root beer and corner tangs.  What could be better than a root beer corner tang?  That root beer looks so shiny and uniform you would think it would knap like obsidian.  Definitely not the case.

Don't be sorry it gives a different perspective!  Tower does some fine work on his native stone!...nice corner tang!

I missed this one somehow. Hey I got one of them ;D. Don is quite the craftsman! There's one for the collection.

Don is definitely a master knapper!
