Just a few shots of some recent leather work. Got a couple staves in exchange for making a sheath and armguard. The recipient wanted to put the finishing touches on the armguard himself, so the buttons and lace are up to him.
I like how the armguard turned out, it's going to be hard letting it go.
It was made from veg-tanned leather, stingray skin for the inlay, and a suede liner.
The wallets and chains were just for fun. I'm in the process of trying to come up with my own version of the "ultimate wallet", but have some changes to make yet. I recently tried my hand at making some chainmaille wallet chains. Turns out I have one of the largest chainmaille manufacturers/suppliers in North America just outside the city, so I don't have far to go for cheap supplies.
Now it's time to get bowyering with this new wood. Going to try and complete my first successful self bow. Tried a few in the past but they all ended up with some kind of "issues". Shooting for a 62" stiff handle with flipped tips. Already chased a ring and roughed it out. Wish me luck
