I am working on my first bow and the directions say to measure out 4" past mid limb then taper down to 1/2" knocks. Where is mid limb. this is a slight bend in the handle bow so i was not sure. Pic explains a bit more

The 17" point is your mid limb. Each bow has 2 limbs starting at the fades and going to the tips. Mid limb would half that distance.
