Has anyone read Hunting the Hard Way by Howard Hill? Is it worth reading?

And then some. Lots on hunting, shooting, making your own equipment, and even some stuff on Native Americans. One of the best books out there- no matter what the topic.

it is definatly worth reading! some of the shots he made are unbelievable. makes you wonder how many animals he may have wounded. he killed a bull elk at 175 yards!!! lots of good info in there as well.

The first chapter where he tells the story about hunting buffalo sold me on the rest of the book, what a great story.

I hesitated for a long time to pay the price for the boot but it is an awsome book, after reading the chapter on how he shot, I am now shooting a lot better and at much longer ranges.   Kenneth
