Nice!!  Bend is great. Colors are nice.  I love the "muscle" on the back.  Most of my hickory has that characteristic and I think it adds a lot of character to the bow. Especially when you finish it out so it highlighted like you have.  Well done.

Thanks fellas. The heat treatment put it's dimensions close to what osage usually has but without the mass weight.Stout little piece of hick. This bow was shot through the summer.High humidity, heat, and stringing time.Did'nt lose cast or take more set like I've heard it said a lot of times on here about hickory.Course it still has a lot of arrows to shoot yet though.

What's not to like about that, sounds and looks like you did everything just perfect.

Thanks rps3.I'm my own worst crtic sometimes, but it still ai'nt perfect.Guess if you make enough bows sometimes you come closer to what you want.I should be a hunting with it but this black locust I made lately has come into the favorite postion at the moment, but it operates about the same with close to the same profiles etc.

I really love the shape of the handle area. And the stain is nice on the eyes as well. Great work all the way around.
