61 inch Black Locust
« on: October 17, 2013, 01:50:47 am »
This bow was made for a member here, for immediate use from a tree stand, if I am not mistaken.  48 pounds at 28 inches, leather handle, and a no frills tru oil and wax finish.  I hope to see some bloody pictures posted here Brian.  Do me proud!!!!!!

Now that looks like a shooter! I love seeing my favorite wood treated so nicely  ;D

Black locust. Black locust everywhere.
Mollegabets all day long.
Might as well make them short, save some wood to keep warm.

Looks like a sweet shooting bow to me.  Nice leather work.   What's the arrow rest made of, built up leather?

ooops... my bad... I didn't look at the title! I's still like to know what profile it has, however.

The center section looks stiff to me. Did you tiller it that way on purpose?

this bow shoots really smooth and hits surprisingly hard. Been shooting her every day. The more I shoot her, the more I like her. Once the weather cools off next week (finally), she will be in a treestand with me. I thought I was gonna skin her with some nice copperhead skins I have, but havent been able to do it yet. The wood is that nice. Thanks Russell! Here are a couple more pics:
