Attaching a stone point
« on: October 13, 2013, 05:54:12 pm »
I have a stone point I want to put on my cedar arrow.  What is the easiest way. I would rather not use pine pitch. I have sinew and thought about using hot glue with it.

hot melt glue will work fine. I have done it with obsidian.

5 minute is a favorite amongst the cheaters  ;)  I may be guilty of it myself on some of my pretty points that I dont want to goober up with black pitch.  just whatever you do, get the transition smooth!

I've even added a little of charcoal dust to 5 minute to make " faux pitch"  :-[

if you use hot melt glue over a candle some of the soot from the flame turns the hot melt black-
looks just like pitch.
