Having a lil fun
« on: October 12, 2013, 01:18:12 pm »
I found a little time at work  yesterday, so I decieded to put it to good use. The brown point is from some stone I swaped for with Patrick, the light tan w/ specks came from Paul, the Georgetown I picked up at the Johnson city Knap in,& the small corner notched came from the local steakhouse.  I hope everyone enjoys.

That is fine work and looks great! Send some knapping "foo" my way. I just got through turning a nice blade into something not so nice trying to make a Hardin. Your work makes me want to give it another try.

Really awesome work ! What do you use for your notching ? I'm curious how your notcher is constructed and also what kind of pad you're using. Try as I might I have trouble getting those deep narrow notches to run, I am thinking it has something to do with my gear, because even with thin performs they stall and I have to go wider to get it to bite again.
