Grape vine backing...?
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:06:04 am »
So I have a lot of wild grape vines growing through out the woods behind my house. some are about wrist thick and I can even play tarzan and swing around on the big ones or even climb up trees using these thicker vines. super stretchy feel to them and I was wondering if anyone had used it as a backing before. actually wondering if it has been used for any part of a bow before. I am not sure if it becomes very brittle when dried or if the stretchy quality is retained. only one way to know for sure so I will be chopping one of these thicker straighter pieces today unless some one knows more than me (very high percentage of humanity does) and could say nay or yay on the subject.

thanks guys
