crossbow buildalong?

does anyone know of a crossbow buildalong were it shows how to make the bow? thanks

It's very difficult to make a wooden prod for a Xbow. That's the reason Xbow prods are  metal or FG. I've made a couple from rawhide backed yew, but it's not easy getting sufficient draw weight.

stick  a normal bow- #150 or so draw and it will work great ;)

Just saw this, adb made a slick Xbow with rawhide backed yew and I think a red oak stock, hope he doesnt mind me throwing the link up here!

BowSlayer, google or search for Skane crossbow. It is an all wooden bow with a push pin lock from Medieval Denmark (now Sweden). It is discussed in Josef Alm's "Survey of European Crossbows, a rare book that is long out of print. But you should come up Alm's drawings, and other data on various version of this bow. You at least don't need any metal working skills to make this kind of crossbow.
