Bryce its because of my accuracy problem  :P.  Lol, no the real reason is because my 2 teenage sons are going hunting with me.  So they are for all of us.  But that was a very good observation.

      Are those tips hafted directly onto cane shafts?

      If so, then what is the benefit, besides not having
      to make foreshafts? (making and fitting foreshafts
      is my most time-consuming and painstaking task
      up til now...) I find that having a nice, hardwood
      foreshaft gives a front-heavy balance which helps
      with arrow flight.

      Any advice or insight is appreciated.

Japbow- I don't use foreshafts anymore.  When I first started I did.  I haven't had a problem going without them.  The glue is packed into the reed shaft.  That with the sinew wrap has been durable enough that may arrows hold up.  Haven't had one to fail yet.  Other ppl might say to go with the foreshafts but for me personally I haven't had a problem doing it this way.
