Yep google parrafin wax.
I got a block for a fiver. It must have been used on around 10 bows and still over 9/10ths of it left. Way cheaper than veg oil and it actually works!

Paraffin wax is just canning wax isn't it? I used to skate board and to wax the curbs we used paraffin wax bought from the grocery store. It's been awhile so I may be mistaken. It came in a box with 4 bricks.
