Hickory staves for trade
« on: October 03, 2013, 09:51:15 pm »
I just cut these hickory staves and thought I would see if anybody is interested in them. They are all cut down to 72" and have the bark on. They are being stored in my shop. They are very straight and knot free except for a couple in the heart wood where they won't be an issue. Thinking maybe I could trade a couple for a finished hickory bow. Prefer to trade locally. I am 20 miles south of Albany, NY.

Nice looking wood, but I'm definitely not local.   Ron

I have some of those staves and they are as nice as they look.  They do need to season some before using.  I am putting mine away till at least after the winter.
