Think I finally got the hang of arrow makin
« on: September 30, 2013, 11:14:05 pm »
This will probably be my hunting set, the knife I made a while back it's my first. cut the blade out of a saw blade and it seams to be a little soft I don't mind though don't have to waste time sharpening

Tell us more about the arrows. They look pretty effective.

Well the red and black is wood stain laid on pretty thick, first time I've taken the trouble to seal shafts (poly) . This is the first time I've gotten to use genuine pine pitch ordered it from pine hollow same as the points, superglue used to water proof sinew and glue on the feathers which are tied down on the end with art sinew, 28.5" long. Had the shafts pained and sealed for a while now only just got to finish them up. This brings my total up to twelve usable hunting arrows, guess I need to start making some target arrows ::)
