I HATE "reality" TV.  The acting is horrible, (...and that is what it is!), and the plots are incredibly predictable.  It is however the ultimate in Corporate class ARTFORM: very low budget to create, nearly no residual cost to re-run or synidcate the content, quick single take production plans or very limited re-takes, and the basest behaviors and emotions are captured and portrayed with little or no art or finesse.

I resent even more those RTV type shows that approach my personal real life interests.

I didn't know this thread I started would stir up so much controversy.  Ya well reality TV is what it is, kind of like real TV in some aspects.  But then again you have the internet now which has its evil face and people been not themselves, making stuff up.  Its sad that today most people only know how to communicate with their I-phones,  when you talk to them in real time, the true emotions do not exist, How sad...   Children as young as 3 years of age are using these hand held devices..!  When I go donwtown you don't often see a lot of people out and about, Why..?  because they are sitting at home chatting and surfing.

My wife and I visited a so called primitive tribe of indians in central america where they sold trinkets and all kinds of do dads. Supposedly they lived there in their primitive state in raised huts.
This was part of a tour.
My wife noticed no cooking fires.
Then, there it was in the corner of a hut...there sat a very primitive iPhone. Lol.
It was good entertainment. LOl.

I'm sure they don't feel like spending the time to build a quality bow just for a quick segment in a low budget TV show.

I know, but if that is the case, than why didn't they just make a normal selfbow? An experienced bowyer can have a nice selfbow made up in no time if they have to.

I agree with everyone that it is just plain BS entertainment of course, but George does have a point, that the guy really might not know better (or care, either way).
