Solo Ohio River Trip (Pic Heavy)
« on: September 29, 2013, 01:22:55 pm »
I left my house Thursday headed to Paducah some 60 odd miles away. I made it 53 miles and had to stop south wind and 3-4ft whitecaps swamped my kayak.

Awesome trip.  I wonder if that buck died from EHD?  When the river gets high, we get those mud puppies coming into the plant where I work.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Mad envy here.  A dog, a kayak, somewhere to go, and time to get there.

Looks like a awesome trip.  When a deer dies from EHD doesn't it's tongue turn black? Is that the same think, EHD and Black Tongue?  Boy that looks fun. Fido looks a little wary in the lock.  Great time!! dpgratz

Looks like you had some great adventure, How big of kayak are you using an does appear to be an open top . I always wanted to go down Frenchcreek to the Alleghany  Roughly Erie to Pittsburgh. about 90 road miles. Ancient highways for sure.  Bob

Cool pics, Looks like a fantastic adventure!
It reminds me of the days when I used to canoe the Adirondack and Algonquin parks.
