2013 hunting arrows
« on: September 29, 2013, 11:03:17 am »
Season opens here in two days and got my last couple hunting arrow points hafted up last night. Obsidian points with pitch glue and sinew wrapped, wild turkey fletching, self nocks, one bamboo shaft and four arrow wood viburnum shoot shafts and craft store feather fluffs at front of fletching. Three of the points made by Bubby and two made by Twisted Limbs, thanks guys you made me some truly nice points and I hope I can do my part and take a couple deer with them this year.
In the second pic the two arrows on the right look terribly warped but its just the camera lens messing up the image.
I've got one more arrow to haft but for now this is enough to start hunting. Thanks for looking.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

I like'em!  Your different types of cresting have given me some more ideas.  Thanks for posting.

They all have that real original native look to them, I think that is what I like most about the arrows...and the pin nock bow, too.  Everything is fairly simple and understated in the decoration department, the whole "less is more" concept.  Love the little yellow rings on the bow, reminds me of the little blue rings on the little deadly octopus.  Probably serves the same purpose, indicates lethality!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
