All right! now i have a significant progress report, Im almost done with this blade, just a matter of heat treating and then sharpening and polishing and putting on the handle and shaping that. Still a ways to go but by the end of this week im done.

Muffin, be sure to drill any holes need to pin the handle before tempering it.  ;)

woops, tempered and heat treated so its really hard, got 2 of the holes drilled but the third is really not wanting to go... oh well, ill have to keep at it until it goes through.

Just anneal it in that spot with a torch.

OK, here are some pics of my current progress. I went with the 2 brass pins and ERC handle, I know its soft stuff but I really liked the color and grain.

Does anybody have any tips for sharpening the blade to shaving sharpness, also does anybody know how to get a mirror polish on a blade?

I didn't get mailed Friday like I thought. Wall rack took longer than anticipated, but that give me more time today to make some more foreshafts.
Eveything is packaged except the newest foreshafts which will need the sinew wrapping sealed tommorow then they will go in the box and I will mail it Monday for sure.
