Howdy Y'all
I just wanted to share how I do my self nocks
On wooden arrows and maybe see if any of y'all
Have better or easier ways . My way works pretty good
But always looking for good ideas.
Here's what I do I took a piece of scrap 2x4 and drilled a
Hole the size of the arrow shaft found center and using a metal cutting saws all
Blade 18t per inch I cut a groove through center then I place the shaft
In the "jig" aka 2x4 and line up grain properly and usi g saws all blade cut nock groove
About 3/8" deep then using sand paper I clean up rough edges then using a very small fine file
I work the nock opening until it fits over serving on string them sand some more and shape
The nock works pretty good . I like the saws all blade better than taping hacksaw
Blades together blades I use are about the thickness of two hacksaw blades and you don't have to worry about blades spreading . Anyway that's how I do it hope maybe I helped someone or if I'm doing something wrong or
The hard way let me know . Oh BTW I use the saws all blade by hand don't recommend using the saw too
Bouncy and rough.
Thanks, Bo
