pirography on bow
« on: November 13, 2013, 01:51:23 pm »
Is that possible to use pirography on a bow to make decorations?
Or it increases the chance of damages and ruptures?

If done on a non working part of the bow its no problem, I just did some on my last bow. there may be some one with more indepth knowledge but definetly not on an unbacked selfbows back .

At first glance I thought I read the other p-ography word... ....that might be sweet if done in good taste  >:D  8)

Seriously do it on areas that are static,or the belly wood prob be fine as well...just not over the back

I did this eagle on a bow a few years back, it is just out of the fade and wasn't bending much. I can't say how the bow is doing as it was a trade bow. BTW I don't think he is on here any more but if any of you know VTclimber give him a swift kick in the pants for me as he never did send me a bow.
