Dang it Jon you weren't supposed to do that well on your first piece of buckthorn! I've broken four of the last six I tried to make from that batch, all longer than that and with less draw weight. Plus the two that didn't break didn't turn out as nice as yours. It's some fun wood though aint it? I can't seem to put it down even when I'm breaking em'.

Thinkin of doing a buckthorn a little advice before i cut it down would be nice,, what qualities of the wood do you like ,, sapling or no,,chase a ring or no..lol..pretty much anything ya got ill read and listen.. thanks.
